About The Author

A lifelong native of New England, Judith Larmay has been writing and painting since childhood. Fifty-four years ago she married her first love, has two grown daughters and six grandchildren. Her world is a simple one, revolving around a quiet home nucleus where creativity and insight continue to grow. Her words are alive, and as straightforward as her images.

CONNECTING THE DOTS  is a lyrical explosion saturated with otherworldly faith, agonizing doubt, playful humor, and at times, a disarming melancholia. Judith's poems are the quiet, everyday meditations of a pilgrim in progress. Inspiration comes from Judith Larmay's spiritual Mentor Who suggests what to say and how to say it. This is a diary about alcoholism as seen through the eyes of a nine-to-eleven-year-old child whose father was alcoholic. It is an impassioned and brutally honest journey into enlightenment and freedom, and an intimate and breathtaking encounter with the spiritual.

Although there is much to weep about in FOOTSTEPS ON THE STAIRS, Ruth's diary is a redeeming swim in the healing waters of recovery, and a witness to the presence of a loving God.
